Painful reminders of winter
On Saturday, I slid down some icy stairs and sprained my hand. It's still swollen and I have bruising. Rah. I've learned just how much I use my left hand in day-to-day life. The answer: a lot!
Bruised. Swollen.
So, things I can't do right now with my left hand (or rather, things that hurt when I do them):
- hold the toothbrush in my right hand and squeeze the toothpaste with my left
- turn on or off light switches
- put on gloves
- put on socks
- carry much of anything
- shovel (not doing this but that means that my parking space at home is snow-filled)
- wash my hair (I can do a decent job one handed though)
- wash dishes
And so many more things. Hopefully the swelling will go down today (I'll be better about icing) and then it'll start to feel better.
Meantime, mood = grumpy at my hand (though, grateful that it wasn't any worse).
(Other than the hand thing, I had a great weekend!)
