Things I learned yesterday

| health | | Comments (0)

- Leaving at 4:15 for a 6:15 eye doctor appointment at Burlington Mall was a good idea. I got there about 15 minutes early so I grabbed a pretzel and went to my appointment.

- My eyes haven't changed (-11.5 diopters) but I do see better with the -12 contact lens though that may be too strong. It's annoying that they stop doing .25 diopter changes when you get over -11.5.

- My astigmatism in my "good" eye (the one that actually has a contact lens in it vs the one that we don't bother correcting at all) is a 1 (or -1? I forget) and they like to correct it when it's more than .75. Except that at my Rx, they don't really seem to have a lot of lens choices. Rar.

- I have some thinning on my macula (I think) in my bad eye. It hasn't changed size/shape though.

- My optic nerves show some signs of weakness, but that's normal with very nearsided people.

Interesting stuff.
