So apparently I haven't talked much about this in my blog.

I have fibroids. It's estimated that one in four women get 'em. I did mention something about them in this post, but no details. The deal is that I've had surgery twice to remove them and the pesky buggers came back again (they didn't remove all of them in either surgery). So this time, I had an ablation (Novasure specifically).

That was last Friday. What does that mean to me? Hopefully that the bleeding will stay minimal for the next 5ish years. That'd be a win since my first surgery was in early 2001 and the second on in mid-2005. So 5 years would be a win.

Additionally, my insurance company no longer covers my allergy meds because you can get them over the counter. I just have to get my butt over to Costco and see if I can get large quantities of generic Allegra because the stuff I'm using as a stopgap is leaving me sniffly.

So there ya go. I'm recovering nicely from my surgery. Dad and Cathy will be in town this weekend and I'll finally give them their holiday presents.
