There's a second picture that shows the braid better.
Vera cut 2" off of my hair (at my request). I didn't realize how much bouncier my hair would get - 2" doesn't seem like much. But a bunch of people have noticed that I've gotten my hair cut, so there ya go.

Yesterday we wandered around Faneuil Hall and went to the Farmers Market at Government Center. We had tasty dinner afterwards (very tasty mini-meatfloafs) and watched some Torchwood.
Today we went back into town go to on a Super Duck Tour (which isn't the one that goes on the Charles River so we couldn't wave to my co-workers). It was a lot of fun. We had lunch at Legal Sea Foods and then picked up my car from the shop*. Tonight was grilled chicken and veggies. Also tasty!
Tomorrow, I help Erica with the movers at her old place.
I'm not sure what we have on tap for the rest of the week yet.
*Car. *sigh* I took it in for its 30k checkup (at 34,700 miles) and it needed new tires (not shocking) plus new front and rear brakes and rotors.

Tonight started my week of vacation. I went to the movies (Mamma Mia!) with a co-worker and that turned out to be the perfect decision. We had dinner at California Pizza Kitchen (mmm!) and wandered around Brookstone's a little before heading to the Kendall Square Cinema. The food was tasty and my drink was also tasty.
Mamma Mia! Well, I didn't know the story except that it was a musical based on some of Abba's songs. I'm not a huge Abba fan (ask Brad), but I like a good musical and I loved the cast, so that's what I wanted to see. That was a great idea. It was a fun movie. It looked like the cast was having a great time (overall). And now I have Abba songs stuck in my head.
It was a perfect way to end a week of stress and start a week of vacation. (We're staying in town and doing Boston-local touristy things.)

I just upgraded to MT 4.12. Just like that. And because I got tired of that broken layout, I changed layout. Easy peasy. I'd rather just have two columns, but mostly I'm glad not to have my column at the bottom of the page.
I might change styles again, but at least this works.

I've seen a lot of movies this summer, which is unusual. But my sweetie likes to see movies and it's fun when a group of us go. Of the ones I've seen so far, my three favorites are: Wall-E, Iron Man and Kung Fu Panda.
We've also seen (listed alphabetically): The Dark Knight, Get Smart, Hancock, Hellboy II, Horton Hears a Who, Indiana Jones, Prince Caspian and Speed Racer.
I think that's all of them so far. Not too much is coming up in August, but we're slated to see Mamma Mia!
I definitely want to own Wall-E once it's out on DVD.
What about you? What have you seen and loved (or seen and not loved)?

Geez. I find it hard to believe that I've been blogging for 6 years, but it's true. It's a very different group of people now than back then, but still good people. I do miss some of the bloggers who have moved on, but some of us manage to stay in touch via email. =)
Thank you, Brad, for getting me into this!

NSPy missed me when I was at James' 3 nights in row.
Happiness is many things to many people ... a cold beer on a hot day ... a pair of Manolo Blahniks ... the laugh of a child ... the smile of a beautiful woman. So, happy happiest day. I haven't been around much because life's been busy. My sweetie turned 40 the first weekend in June and last weekend there was a lot of socializing to be done. This weekend, my niece is in a ballet/tap recital. I'm looking forward to going.
To some, happiness is family. To others, it's time away from family.
To scientists at Cardiff University, it's O + (N x S) + Cpm/T + He.
And, if they're right, this Friday is going to be the happiest day of your whole year.
Just because I'm that much of a dork.
67 degrees out at lunch time. Just lovely.
I had a tasty crepe from Sebastian's Cafe. We sat outside in the sun and chatted while we ate. Nice.
